A couple of my favorite places

TBG and I went to the Ford dealer this morning to get the oil changed. While there I met a nice couple and worked on my commands. Of course I was awesome!

                                                                                              You talk'n to me?

It never ceases to amaze me where TBG will put me.

After we finished up with the car, we headed across the road to Lowe's where I got to see my good friend John. He let me work the paint counter for a few minutes!

Yes, I did jump all the way up there.

Frame Shopping

We received my awesome portrait a while ago and Deb wanted it framed, so off to Hobby Lobby we went.

While there I got to meet Morganne and her Dad. I could tell she really liked me!

I also got to pick out the frame type!

Once the portrait is finished, I'll post a pic with the details!

Needed help picking out a Halloween costume

So, TBG and I headed off to one of my favorite places...Waterford Assisted Living in Ames!

I was able to model all of the available costumes for my friends!

First up was as a Wookie.

Next was Count Barkula!

Then, Officer PJ

One of my favorites...Captain PJ, pilot of a Sopwith Camel

And the winner was..........Bandita PJ!

Thanks to all my friends at Waterford, see you next month with a special going away gift!

Windshield repair on the Escape

TBG and I went to get the windshield repaired after a rock hit us on our way to KC last weekend.

We arrived and met the repair tech. He explained the repair to us and I explained all about CCI! He let me hang out and watch plus I got to work on walking (and sitting) over floor grates.

TBG was drooling over the size of the garage!

He made me walk and sit on this grate many times!

The Flight Continues

So, after our great day at the KC airport, we spent the next day at the downtown airport for Challenge Air

This is an event where pilots from all around fly their planes in and then spend the day taking kids up for flights around town. The kids go through a "ground school" where they learn all about planes and how they fly. It's a great way to spend the day and us pups get to spread the CCI word!

TBG seemed to talk ALL day...no really!

Seems that we talked all day long too!

We made soooo many new friends!

Liza tried to convince the event organizers that she was ready to fly!

Then we all tried!

I begged to ride this beauty, but to no avail.

I thought I'd try my hand at cheerleading.

We also got to check out the fire trucks!

and then I spent a lot of time trying to wrangle a new puppy raiser.  I used all my awesomeness on Katie!

We had a GREAT time at Challenge Air!

"Fly CCI"

My pals and I went to the Kansas City Airport last week and went to flight training school. We learned all about what it takes to makes these big birds fly!

School started in the skies. (L-R) Darius, Me, Pastel and Liza

We moved to the communication area to learn about logistics.

Then we learned the proper use of the lavatories.

A little privacy please!!!

We found out the reading material is better in 1st class!

Then the really fun stuff. We checked over the plane including the landing gear.

Here's Liza confirming that all hydraulic lines are A-OK!

Tire pressure is good here...how about your tire Liza?

Front landing gear looks ready to go.

Captain PJ says..."Fly CCI"

See you all later!

Now, just so you know what it takes to get the pics that I post....sometimes us pups can be ornery and mess with the puppy raisers. Here is what typically goes on behind the scenes. Sometimes we even get the humans to make monkey noises and jump around like kangaroos just to get us to "smile"! The humans are sooo gullible.

Almost looks like a high dollar model photo shoot doesn't it!

Thanks to all the folks at Aviation Technical Services for letting us come by and check out the jets and equipment. It was a great time for all of us!!

Captain PJ signing off.

"Choose Your Adventure"

That's the slogan of Iowa State University. I bet they didn't know it applies to pups-in-training too!

Follow me--I know the way! (I'm just missing my Indiana Jones hat!)
Gotta look good for the road, before we set out, though--do I have any kibble stuck in my teeth, TGB?
Well, hello there! What? Well, of course you can take a picture of me, you silly thing! I adore my fans. And, how nice of you to let TBG pose for the picture, too. He likes to think he has his own fan base, but we know better, don't we, Sweetie? Still, it's kind of you...let's just not let on....it might hurt his feeling (he only has one, you know!)

You'd like a close-up? But of course! My ancestry? Whatever do you mean? Am I part Chow? Or related to Ansel III? Well, unless there is some scandal in my background that I don't know about, I would say surely not! Why do you ask, Darlin'?

Well, she was nice enough, wasn't she? But time to hit the road...over the river and through the red tunnel--that's how I choose to adventure!

Next is rock climbing!

What do you mean I can't go skateboarding? What happened to "Choose Your Adventure?" Please, please, please can I go?

Don't worry, Dr. No says--she knows the way. Now that's funny! Let me help you out, Dr. No...we are at the HICKORY SHELTER. How do I know? What do you mean how do I know? A pup can read, can't she? Geez...I think it's time to go home!
Tune in--more adventures to come--soon!

Me and My Buds!

It's a girl's world...!

My dear friend Champ invited me over to his house for a play date.

Ever the gracious host, Champ suggested that I take the most comfortable seat in the house.

Then Champ invited me to a game of Fetch. Isn't he adorable? Who could refuse that mug?

But that mean ole' TBG said I was too "ram-bunk-shus"--whatever that means--and that he didn't want to see yet another "plays rough with others" come down the pike from the trainers. As if! But there's no talking to him when he gets like this, as me and SWMBO surely know, so out came the @!!** leash! Grounded! Sorry, Champ!
I thought the fun times were over, but Champ introduced me to one of his house-mates. Now THAT was interesting! Hello there, little one!

As the evening wound down, I gave up the comfy seat to Champ and we enjoyed a small glass of whine and some kibble.
Take care of yourself, Champ, and leave the "car" command to me--you just concentrate on your "cute" command!
