Big 12 Championship Track Meet

Woo Hoo, another indoor track meet in Ames!! It's even bigger than the last. All of the Big 12 schools are here and well, I got to spread more puppy love than before!

Does my I.D. badge make my head look big?

OK, I'm ready for the hurdles!

After my super fast runs, I had my own personal trainer give me the once over!

I was watching the women's high jump. They were AMAZING.

Met a few new friends while taking a break from work.

TBG says we are going back tomorrow...Yippeeeee

BTW, fresh made cookies will arrive with me! Bon Appetit!

Another trip to Waterford!

Yesterday, I got to spend the morning with some friends in Ames. Waterford has become one of my favorite places to visit. Everyone is always excited to see me and I get lots of lov'n!

I got to show them what's involved with my beauty treatment!

Cleaning ears, brushing teeth, clipping nails and brushing my fabulous fur coat!

Because I was so good, everyone got to give me a treat!

Finally, I showed them how I get dressed for work.

We had a lot of fun and look forward to our next visit. TBG says he'll bring the trampoline!

I graduated!

From my first obedience class that is!

I wasn't able to attend classes before now due to carrying a contagious virus to other pups. Nothing bad mind you, just didn't want any of my non-CCI pups to have to deal with it.

For the last 7 weeks I have been attending the beginning obedience class at Cyclone Country Kennel Club here in Ames. Our instructor was Linda and she fast became a good friend. Here I am showing her one of my favorite commands!!

Here's TBG doing what he does best........holding up walls!

How long you going to make me "stand" here buster?

Showing off my "trick"

TBG showing the "Butt" command. Ha ha ha ha ha.......what a goof!

While it looked scary at first, it was fun after a few times across.

We would have won the Relay if TBG had remembered to "return to heel position" instead of just walking backwards. It was HIS responsibility to give the commands. I DID MY part. What am I gonna do with this guy??

Oh well, I graduated DESPITE TBG!

Can't wait for the next class to start!

February Graduation & Turn-in

What a week I've had! TBG and I left the comfort of our cozy Ames abode and headed to Kansas City last week. TBG said I was to be on my best behavior because we were going to Ohio and would be meeting the PRO trainers! He warned me that I would be experiencing a lot of "firsts" and would be tested to the extreme. Boy, was he RIGHT!!

We stayed at Gabe's house in Kansas City the first night and yes, we did play hard! Liza even came over for some play!! We play too hard for a camera to catch the action.

Liza and I

Got up early on Wednesday and headed out on the road. Gabe and I tried to play as much as TBG would allow (which wasn't much in the car for some reason!).

We laughed at Auntie Linder, she knows why!!

TBG jumped in and it became " The Day the Laughter Died"

Stopped in Terre Haute, IN for the night and got to talk to soooo many nice folks. I have to give props to the employees at the Hampton Inn, they were AWESOME!!

I went to my first restaurant outing at Bagger Dave's in Terre Haute. I heard the food was Fabulous!

I also got to practice sleeping...uhh, I mean...jumps on the bed.

We traveled the next day and arrived in Ohio just in time to go out again and eat at Old Bag of Nails in Delaware, Ohio. Boy was THAT fun! We had 13 pups in training and 1 service dog.

EVERYONE loved me!!

We'd like a table for 14 dogs please!

Got to enjoy Valentine's with all my peeps!

Here's Pastel and I at Graduation. I look like I have a GIANT head compared to my older Sis!

Aunt Linder, Debbie and Gabe III

Sandy and Kindy, Blue vest dogs rule!!!

TBG and I made it back to Ames last night. We are TIRED! Great people, great dogs and great times. Can't wait till the next one!

ISU indoor track meet...Day 2

It's not often I get to do encore performances, but today was a great day!!

We went back to the track meet and Deb was able to come along. We worked on lots of commands and you want to talk about distractions, boy, there were lots of those!

                                                                            I worked on carts

Doing ups in scary places

Keeping calm when the starter's gun went off and then having the runners go flying by!

I convinced Deb that looking over the balcony was NOT scary!

Got to be my awesome self

Taught Uncle Doug how to walk on a loose leash!

and then gave him his "reward" treat!

I also got to talk more about myself and Canine Companions! I met one of the coaches for the Texas track team.

Here's me with Josh from North Dakota State University. Sure hope I brought you good luck today!

After a couple hours, TBG said it was time to go. Hey, old man...you don't need THAT to be loud!

I had a great time at the track meet today and was glad to see some friends from KSU and meet lots of new friends. See you all again next time!
