Checking out the Ames scenery

We headed out to a local park today that Deb found while out on her walks.

We crossed a bridge that reminded TBG of Shevlin Park in Bend, Oregon. That was where Jeb used to go hiking!

I did some lite reading of the work done on the walking trails.

and met some of the area wildlife.

If you look hard, you'll see Mister Rabbit!

All said, I had a great time on our walk and met some nice folks AND wildlife. I did collapse on the floor when we got back home though. Hey, us little pups don't have a lot of stamina!!

They like me, they really like me!

Of course I'm talking about the nice people in Ames!

First, we went walking around the campus yesterday while waiting for Dr. No to finish work. Me and "The Big Guy" worked on a set of open grated metal stairs. I think I need to grow a little more, my feet almost fell through!

Today on our walk, TBG decided I needed a little practice crossing the street. Here's the sequence...

I pretty much rocked that! Surprised Deb how well I did.

As we headed back to the house, we crossed paths with a couple that were working hard. Of course, my awesome puppyness lured them away from their work and I got to spread some puppy lov'n!

Told them all about me and Canine Companions and the cool things that I'll learn as I get bigger.

I must have been in a kibble coma last night to not notice that they got me too!

Tried to go to work with Dr. No

I gave it my best shot today. Had all my gear on and was on my best behavior. Walked nice on the leash, did my fur and trimmed my eyelashes and nails before we left the house. I walked to the bus stop with Dr. No and was ready to board the bus...

But, TBG stepped in and put an end to my plan. Something about not being old enough, blah, blah, blah. Oh well, I did give it my best shot. I'll just have to wait a few more months!

Out on the town

We took a trip to a park today. Had my longest walk so far! I'm not much a fan of this gentle leader, but I am getting used to it.

It was pretty hot for a gal wearing a fur coat! I found some shade and cried "Uncle"!

Let's just say, the rest of the afternoon was like yesterday...SLEEPING!

TBG, what do you mean we'll go for another walk tomorrow??

Met a fellow CCI pup today

Got to meet "Detroit" today. No, not the Motor City, but the CCI puppy!

                                   Boy, was he a cutie!

Got to meet Detroit's buddy...Uhhh..."Buddy"

He was NOT interested in us pups at all! TBG and Dr. No liked him though.

Detroit's humans were very nice, they even got out the pool for us to play in. I did my best to show Detroit how much fun water is, but him being a lot "Golden", he was not as interested as I was!

Here we are disagreeing on lunch.

Big thanks to Detroit's puppy raisers for allowing us some puppy play time. It sure was fun!

* UPDATE *

TBG here, the little porker (FBG...Fat Bottom Girl) was fast asleep, but could still be heard over the TV! Playing is hard work.

Sorry for the lapse in posting. I've been kinda busy with the move!

Last weekend and Monday we spent loading all of my toys, food and gear into the trailer. Had to explain to TBG where to put everything! And why are we taking all of these eggs? Don't they have chickens in Iowa? They're certainly getting some bright white chicken LEGS! Ha ha ha ha ha ha

We played once all that was finished. The house was empty and I had LOTS of run'n room.

Before we left on Tuesday, I got to see Monna one last time for some shots, worming and an overall checkup. I weighed in at a whop'n 21.4 lbs.

TBG is pretty goofy huh!

We made it to Ames and stayed at a local motel. I hear they had great food!

Do I remind you of a certain pig in a certain horror flick?

I'm bored, give me something to chew on!

Finally made it to my new digs. I think I'm going to like it here!

I hear there's a younger CCI puppy that arrived not too far from here, maybe I'll get to go and play soon!
