Now today's outing was a blast!

So we made our daily trip to one of the parks and started off with a really long walk. We then went and worked on some playground equipment.

No one was on the old truck, so TBG and I "hoofed" it over there. I got to take it for a spin!!

Allllllllll Aboarrrrrrrd!

Then, we ran the "gauntlet" Man, he can sure work my tail off. On the bright side...I've overcome my fear of rolling on raised surfaces! Take THAT Dr. No!

and for the pièce de résistance...

The skateboarders were there today!!!!

There were a couple of guys just tearing it up! They let me watch and even wanted to know all about me! TBG and I sat there for a long time watching all the jumps, flips, spins and general craziness. I tried taking video, but it seemed every time I did, I caught the few misses. They were really good and made most tricks though!

TBG's park "kick" is "kick'n" my tail!

So, TBG has been taking me to different parks in the Ames area, but has found this one that has many different training opportunities. We've been going there every day and he's been working my tail off.

Hey, I'm under 6!

Who has a ball?

Oh no, not the rocks again.

Next time I'll get a picture of the "gauntlet". That's a killer..... Up, off, jump, sit, down, off, jump, shake, down, stand, off...rinse and repeat while jumping up on these huge rocks. Makes a girl really sweat!

Uh oh, Deb's sick again!

Deb's been feeling a little under the weather so TBG and I convinced her to see the doc. I got to tag along this time and of course...I was a big hit.

Oh yeah, I think I've got "under" big fella!

Had a fun time at the office and Deb got the drugs she so desperately needed. She needs to be GTG for the pool party coming up!

Went to a new Park!

TBG did some research and found a huge park in Ames. Man, this place had it all!!

It had a bridge over troubled waters.

Lots of tennis courts

Kids playing basketball

Lots of winding steps. You can also see the bridge too.

There were dozens of these big rocks, all in a row. TBG had me doing ups, jumps, downs, sits, etc...as we walked down rock row. Man, I was exhausted after all that!

There was a skateboard park. If you look closely, all of those rails were perfect places to practice "under". It was a little difficult on the really low bars, but I did them all!

Lots of surfaces to "jump" onto.

If you zoom in, you can see one of those low bars in the background!

Open metal is not scary anymore. Did I mention it was hot and I was dog tired by this time?

There was also a wading pool for little kids. There were a dozen little humans running around in the water. Splashing, screaming and having a good time. We sat and watched them for awhile, but TBG thought it was inappropriate to take pics.

Can't wait to go back and check out more of this park.

The Difference between Our Dogs

As the time with PJ is nearing an end, we look back at the four dogs we've had since 2000. We wanted to come up with a few words that would describe each one of them.

Jeb

"I serve the world"

Ansel

"I am the world"

Carver

"You are the world"

PJ

What world? Where??
Can you repeat the question?

Friendship... is not something you learn in school

~Muhammad Ali

Enough said! I worked really hard to welcome this new human. I'm so glad you came to visit!

Hey, Champ, I love ya' man, but this is GIRL talk!

Friendship only goes so far. Champ, it's my frisbee. You know I could rip your teeth right out of your head if I wanted, right?

I heard Shark Week starts today! I'm just getting in the spirit!

Champ too! He's practicing his "oh-my-gosh-there's-a-shark-in-the-water" jump!

OK, maybe I'm taking the shark thing too far...

Thanks to Champ and his humans for coming back out for a grand playdate on Saturday!
