Farmers' Market

We went to the local farmers' market and brought home a cornucopia of fresh veggies. I even got my own fresh carrot!

Afterwards, we went by one of the parks and played on the equipment and went for a long walk. Yes, I actually did jump up on the bench...thank you!

I also got to drive the Mustang! Dog, that thing is fast.

Welcome, New Readers!

ANSEL III: After Jeb died in December 2008 (has it been that long, dear friend?), we took some time to grieve and then ended up becoming puppy raisers in the hope that we could raise "a Jeb" for someone else. Ansel III, that sniffalickasaurus, joined us in March 2010. MCI Training

Otherwise known as the Kansas City International Airport! THAT is where TBG and I spent an evening working with the TSA agents.

We got to go through the security checkpoints multiple times! It was a great learning experience for us pups and the TSA folks as well! We switched it up and I got to work with Roxanne and TBG worked with Liza.

I had NO problems, of course!

I got lots of "pats"

No problem here, pat down Roxanne all you want!

We were also treated by having Duke from KSDS join us at the airport! What a looker...hubba hubba!

I think TBG was holding up the line again!

TBG was showing Liza how to check in.

I already knew how, so no need for a lesson for me.

The next morning, we had some breakfast at a very nice Cafe.

And then we surprised Darius at Met Life before we headed back to Ames.

Upon our return to Ames, TBG gave me a gift from Auntie Linder!

Field of Dreams

You know how us dogs love green grass right? Well, I got to visit the greenest grass in Iowa. Some say it's as magical as the corn! TBG, Dr.No and I made the trek to the Field of Dreams movie site yesterday. On the way there, we saw...Corn, Corn and.......you guessed it, more Corn! TBG kept telling me though the our final destination had "magic" corn. Well, you know I thought he'd finally cashed in his animal crackers right. Really? magic corn????

                                                                    Anywho, we finally arrived at the coolest place.

We walked around and met folks and worked on some commands. There were a LOT of kids...everywhere! And GRASS, oh this beautiful, soft green grass!

Yeah, I can do an "up" on anything...even chicken arms!

Ok, this is something I learned from my buddy Champ. How to train your human. Ahh, a little more to the left there bub!

Do you know how hard it is to take a selfie with NO opposable thumbs?

Before the "real" game, everyone was allowed to play on the field. I went out to left field. As I was posing for this picture I heard..."Go the Distance" I wonder what that means?

Of course I wanted to get in on the action. I'll call balls and strikes!

Whoops...that's a rip!

Then TBG says to be quiet and listen to the corn...the magic is about to happen!

Holy Great Danes, look what came out of the corn!!

and they proceeded to get a baseball game going, including some of the little kids!

I kept barking, "put me in coach!"

but alas, that darn lack of thumbs kept them from picking me! But I did manage to get to watch up close. That's a pop up guys!!!

Sadly, it was time to head home. So long magic corn...so long ghosts, we had a GREAT time!

Once we got home, TBG said he had one more surprise for me.

Play day with Champ!

Boy, did I have a blast this morning! My friend Glenn and his SWMBO came over and they brought Champ with them!!!!!

Champ's a little older than me and a few pounds lighter, so TBG told me to take it easy with him. I did the best I could, but there were a couple times I rolled over Champ just from sheer momentum!

The cool thing about Champ is that he has giant springs in his legs!

and Glenn was all too good about tossing toys for us!

After a lot of running, we went inside to cool off and Champ showed me the proper way to play Tug of War! Somehow, I don't see TBG holding me like that anytime soon!

Finally, I was showing everyone some of my commands.
